Date: 11/04/2022-11/05/2022
Cost: $300
Location: Zoom Live Webinar

This presentation will share strategies for adapting EMDR Therapy Standard Protocol for use with children who have experienced adverse life experiences.  Adaptations to the 8-Phase protocol include completing comprehensive history taking, teaching specific preparation strategies, and integrating creative, child-focused interventions to implement during desensitization through re-evaluation phases. Specific strategies will include: psychoeducation about trauma response and EMDR therapy, preparation skills, attachment exercises, and art and play-based interventions.  Using the tenets of the Adaptive Information Processing Model, this workshop will explore strategies to identify and resolve unprocessed information that is dysfunctionally stored as result of trauma.

*A General Note About Approvals

Please also note that APA-approved sponsors are accepted by many state boards, such as California BBS and major licensure boards within the state of Pennsylvania. In both of these cases, separate paperwork does not need to be filled out. Many state boards also accept out-of-state providers, which is why our Ohio approvals appear on every training. In some states, pre- or post-program approval forms must be sent, and you are responsible for checking into the rules of the licensure board in your state as to what is required. Please let the Institute for Creative Mindfulness know if you need support documentation in any way for these pre or post-program approval applications.

If you need any specific accommodations, please contact Suzi Rutti at info@ohioinstitutefortraumaandwellness.com or (614) 398-1927.

*OTW remains committed to providing training that enhances the collective health and well-being of our community.  In light of recent COVID-19 developments, we recognize that providers all across the state and country are potentially facing new financial realities.  Please contact us to explore discount options in the event of loss of employment.

**You will receive instructions for dialing in to the webinar after registration.
